Candle light

On each side of the center piece I have 2 pillar candles purchased at walmart for $2.82 and a .97 package of tissue paper. I stamped and colored my tissue paper the pulling out my heat gun heated up the candle.

Tomorrow morning a few ladies will be coming over to join me in making some holiday items. Here are a few items I will have on display for giving as a gift.

The Center Piece. Here I took 2 sprite cans and cut out 2 snowflakes with my big shot then I embossed them with the dots folder lightly sanded and using glue dots glued them to a glass block that I bought at the dollar tree

My Blanket is completed!! It's so pretty my mother ln Law described it as a "happy" quilt. I think I'll be making one for her for Christmas. :) My fabric for the flowers is Stampin' UP! out of the holiday mini catalog.

I mentioned or at least I think I mentioned in my last post that I was making Yogurt. I did it!!!! and it was super yummy especially with the Lemon curd mixed in. Tasted like lemon pie filling ....Oh so YUMMY!!!!

To make it you need 1/2 gal of milk brought to a near boil remove stove let cool to 110 - 115 then stir in a 1/4 starter yogurt cover with a warm damp cloth and set in a warm spot over night. The next morning you can drain it or leave it as is . Your choice. Drain if you like thick or leave it alone if you like creamy.

On FRIDAY a couple of the club girls and I will be getting together to do some stamping - Christmas cards - 3D projects If you are in the area and would like to join us we would love to have you!! 10:00 am my house!! let me know so that I can have plenty of supplies for you ready.

Still Alive

Don't worry I'm still alive!!

I have done a little stamping and really should post some pictures for you to see.

Right now I am in the middle of a couple projects (always seem to have them) that are taking up my attention. I bought a quilt pattern on Etsy.com and have been working on that. I am thinking I may make a couple more for Christmas gifts as they really are easy to do but cutting all the little flowers out is a bit more time consuming that I was thinking it would be. Anyway, this picture is what my quilt will hopefully look like in a few days.

Then yesterday a book arrived that I had ordered last week called Bake the Bread, Buy the butter. Really enjoying it, lots of little stories behind each little recipe and the one I am doing today (instead of stamping or sewing) is making Yogurt! I'll let you know tomorrow how it tastes. It's super easy!!

I'm off to do my dishes, my laundry and pick up the house before the kiddos get home.

Snow much fun

I do realized it is only September, however, Stampin' Up! Holiday mini is in full bloom and this is one of those fun stamp sets to play with.

First I took out my crumb cake c.s. and lightly drew lines to create a wood grain look. Then using a non Stampin' UP! oval die cut I cut out 2 ovals one on watercolor paper and the other another crumb cake. I also embossed the crumb cake oval with a snow embossing folder. Using my SU! markers I colored in the snowman and the little birdies. Next I punched out some snowflakes and also embossed them with the same snow embossing folder.

snail punch art

Sorry for the late post. It's one of those days that makes you want to curl up on the couch with a good book or a snugly little girl and sleep. :)

A couple weeks ago my stamp girls and I met and we created this cute little snail.

To create this little snail you will need (body) ex. large oval, 1 3/4 , 1 1/4 and 1/2 circle. (Face) Small oval, 1/2 circle, 1/4 circle and 2 step bird for the antenna's. Heart to heart on his tail.

The grass with created with a die cut from Quik Cuts the flowers are from a retired su punch trio flowers.

What a fun little card to make.

My base layer is very vanilla with a layer of Chocolate chip and pretty in pink and melon mambo embossed with SU! embossing folder.

To make the girl punch out some circles and the little dress is dsp owl punch feet are 1/2 circles

I recently discovered I really like the new color Wisteria Wonder. Such a pretty shade of purple

For this card I used Very Vanilla as the base and then took a strip of Old Olive DSP (retired) I stamped Definitely Decorative Daisy (retired) It's an Oldie but a goodie!! My ribbon is whisper white dyed Wisteria Wonder by running it over the ink pad.

Thursday - pinwheel birthday

Maybe it's the memories of childhood but I love the pinwheel brings me to my happy place! Bright and cheerful - a summer time!

So, here I layered some card stock and then some DSP a strip of ribbon and then my pinwheel. To make your own pinwheel all you need is some squares of designer series paper. These oare 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 cut them at a diagonal and fold corner over. Match them up and your done! So much fun!!! I even made some bigger ones that I put on bamboo skewers and a old frapachino bottle. Makes for a fun decoration!

Stamp your greeting - I used Happy Birthday and viola!!

Rose Tutorial

Bear with me here I don't know if I have ever done a tutorial for you. There is a first for everything right? 1. Punch out 1 - 1 3/8" circle 20 - 23 ornament punches 2. Sponge all the edges of your ornaments

3. Using your bone folder curl the edges of the ornaments. Doing this will break the fibers in the paper allowing it to appear to be a "real" flower petal.

4. Now you will start building your flower. Place atleast 4 ornament petals around the circle. Here I used crystal effects but the Red sticky strip tape also works well.

5. Continue building flower. Pictured is is the 2nd row of petals. See how I have arranged the 2nd row between 2 petals in row 1.

6. Still building follow the same steps are #5
7. For the center of the flower wrap your petal around your pen or so that it is a tightly rolled. As you enter the center of the flower the petal become more enclosed you can do this by gently squeezing the sides of the curled petals in. You will know when you have reached the center of the flower as you will not be able to place any more petals on the flower.

8. Ok it looks beautiful just like it is but I think it needs a few leaves. You can make them also with the same ornament punch. Same process Punch your green paper curl the edges with your bone folder sponge and I drew a line with my maker down the center and lines coming off the sides.

9. The Stem! I went to wally world and bought a pack of 100 bamboo skewers to make these stems. I love the seam binding ribbon for this process it wraps so easily. For this I heat up the glue gun and wrap. The pointy part of the skewer I poke into the flower and then hot glue it in.

Monday Flower Bouquet

So, are they real or are they paper?

PAPER!!

The roses were created with SU! ornament punch for the stem I bought some Bamboo Skewers at Wally world for .97 for a pack of 100! I thought that was a pretty good bargain!! I then wrapped the skewers with SU! ribbon and glued it on with Hot Glue.

Now for the Daisy's I used my big shot and cut the Daisy's with the Daisy die. (my new favorite) I cut out 5 -7 large flowers 4 med. and 3 little flowers of various colors and put them all together. With all the flowers I used my bone folder to curl the petals.

I bit time consuming but so worth it! I now have a beautiful bouquet of flowers on my dining room table that will not be wilting on me. :)

Daisy Headbands

Both girls with their matching head bands - different colors and I wrapped the ribbon around one - it seems to slide a little more than the other but looks so darn cute!!

Stampin' Up! is so wonderful for my birthday I was sent a card and given an additional 20% off any item in the catalog - As a demonstrator I already receive 25% so 45% off any one item is FANTASTIC!!!! So, I chose the Daisy die. I have been wanting it for some time but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on a want. Now that I played with it - It is a NEED!! I LOVE this die!!!!!

Ok, so here is what I did. I have been seeing these headbands using the fun flowers die (also don't have) and was desperately wanting to play! So, when My die came yesterday I went to town - figuratively and literally! I ran into town and bought some fabric! :) and came home and went to town making headbands!! Both my girls wore them to school today. :) SO here is a picture of my kyleah trying it on yesterday (SHE LOVED IT) and I think she looks adorable with it on. I might add that the bus driver today like them too. :)

Here is a closer picture of one of the head bands.

Lots and lots of layers of daisy's. I even added some denim to add some texture. I hot glued the ribbon on the headbands this ribbon is just perfect as it is the chocolate chip scallop and it covers just right.

A New stamp set with matching punch --- That is one of my addictions. Always fall for the matchy matchy. I stamped my pennants and then punched them out and strung them on the backers twine.

I then pulled out a retired stamped set.

Monday Birthday Monster

My Morning is not working out like I had hoped. I decided to re-arrange my stamp room and had a picture in my head how I wanted it to look. Unfortunately it is NOT working like I had hoped it would. :( Guess I will be putting it all back after my break.

I came across a card like this a few weeks ago and thought it was sooo stickin' cute I had to give it try.

My base is Kiwi Kiss, layer of Pretty in Pink and then some retired Dsp. 2 more smaller layers and then my stamped Monster. Then Little Monster is from Make a Monster set. The Banner is the scrap pieces from the pinking hearts border.

The Little Monster was first stamped on the whisper white card stock and then stamped again on the pretty in pink. I then cut her out and adhered her to the first image. Next for a little added fun I added a little skirt form the DSP.

A really fun little card to make. My daughter has a couple birthday parties that she has been attending and so I have made several cards to have on hand.

Monday side step dresser card

My picture isn't very good, but I hope you can see what an adorable card this is. It looks complicated but really this was one of the easiest cards I have done in a while and boy was it fun!!

Jackie Topa to my knowledge was the first come up with idea - very talented stamper!! I used her instructions and went from there. I have made 2 of these over the weekend 1st one was a baby card. I didn't take a picture of that one but if you can imagine all the stuffed animals and outfits that go along with baby things! CUTE!!

1: Cut you paper to 51/2 x 8 1/2
2. Cut a slice starting at 1" and going down to 5 1/4"
3. Score at 1" and at 2" that will create the "step"
4. For the dresser drawers cut 3 pieces of paper to 3/4" x 2 use brads for the handles
5. Legs - punch out 1/2 of a curly label from the bottom of the card.
I sponged everything to give it some dimension and added depth.

This page is a very very simple page and layout. I copied the robots from another scrap page I saw on line. Thought it was such a cute idea for my son. My girl robot is a 3'' circle 1/2" circle eyes and sq ears. The boy robot is a 4" square. Very very easy!!

My title is stamped using a retired alphabet set -- Taffy alphabet.

scrappin' Tuesday

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to get some scrap booking done. I think I got 4 pages done I felt so accomplished afterward and so much more relaxed!

This little bear is a combination of Kim Score's build a bear punch art. First thing I did to make the SU! build a bear into a jointed bear then I used Kim Score's instructions for making him into a Santa. I left off his gloves and boots and for this page I like him with out.

And here is the completed page. There are a few non-Stampin' UP! elements on this page but only just a couple things. Notice the ribbon! Isn't it just beautiful?!?! It's some of SU! new ribbon - chocolate chip scallop dotted ribbon. YUMMY!

Birthday card Monday

I was needing a birthday card so today was perfect when my email came in from splitcoast stampers telling me I had a card Sketch Challenge ready. This was a really fun and easy sketch to play along with The width of each strip is 3/4" and 4 1/2 " long.

My flower is SU! paper flowers that I dipped in versa mark and embossed in some pink embossing powder that I had laying around. My ribbon is some SU! retired Twill tape (much thicker than they have now). The DSP is from a year ago so is also now retired but I just LOVED that paper pack I was really hoping they would have kept that around a little longer. :(

Headbands!!

Inspired by Angie Squires headbands here I had to make some too. I do not have the flower die that she used and I probably will be getting is sometime soon but I just couldn't wait any longer to make these cute headbands!! They are so easy and so much fun!!!!

I went to the local craft store and bought some fabric I used lots of layers and 3 different kinds of fabric in order to give it lots of detail and dimension.

SU! does now sell fabric and I will have to get some of theirs too now that I am having fun with fabrics. My buttons on SU! buttons and the ribbon on the headbands is SU! chocolate chip polk a dot scallop ribbon. AND HOT GLUE GUN!!

Mini Mouse

While doing my normal wake up routine this morning (drinking my coffee and browsing the internet) I stumbled across this cute little mini mouse here.

I did change it up a bit and used different paper.

Recipe:

Paper: Basic black, blushing bride, whisper white, Poppy Parade. Retired DSP (from a scrappin' kit) Pear Pizzazz.

Punches: small oval (retired), large Oval, extra large oval, butterfly, flower (retired), 1 3/4" circle, 2 1/2" circle (I used my circle scissors). Modern Label, word window.

Isn't she just adorable!!?? I'm thinking I will make another one and this time use Melon mambo!!

Summer Off

You probably already figured this out But I will be taking the summer off. The kids are home and we are BUSY!! My Husband will be starting a new job and we will have some schedule changes that we will need to get use too. I have been doing a little bit of stamping and hopefully will be able to post some of those samples up for you sometime soon. In the mean time I have updated the catalog ....ENJOY! Go, Graduate

My attention is all set on school ending for both my children and my niece and nephew.

The "funny" thing here is my nephew graduated a year ago. Life got difficult for a while and I didn't get a card or anything sent to him. So, when he found out that I was making a blanket (now completed--go me!!) He only consented to send me jeans if I made him a blanket too. :) ( My next project!) Here is his card that I should have made a year ago!!

I used the Go, Graduate set from last summer mini on confetti cs with strips of real red and basic black. I stamped the feet of my graduates and colored in only the gowns and then the feet on one. Punched a couple stars and added some black ribbon - (non-su!) I embossed the Congratulations and also the brads. Yep I embossed the brads!! All I had was silver brads and i wanted BLACK I dipped them in my craft black ink and then clear embossing powder......TAA DAA Black brads!

Graduation Owl

I was looking through my stash of paper and didn't really see one that I liked to go with this card so I pulled up MDS (my digital studio) Found some Old Olive Script dsp and printed it off on whisper white CS. Now, the color isn't quite SU! Old Olive but I think it works pretty well.

To make the owl I used the Owl punch and then for the wings the scallop circle punch. Pretty cute, huh!?

Paper used: Crumb cake, chocolate chip, whisper white, Basic black, old olive.

Sewing project

My one big secret in life is that I do NOT sew!!! I can cook I can make you a rockin' card I scrap book but I DO NOT SEW! So why on earth did my niece ask me to make her a denim blanket?? GOOD QUESTION! I guess I should be asking WHY on earth I said YES!! :)

When I graduated from high school my aunt made me a denim blanket I still have it today and use it all the time. Its an awesome blanket!!

Anyway you may not be seeing much stamping for a little while because I am up to my eyeballs in sewing. My nephew has asked that I make him one of these as well. AND, all THREE of my children want one too. PLUS, my blanket is, well, a few years old and needs some repairs. Yep by the time I get done I should be pretty good at this whole sewing thing!

Cherry Blossoms

Yesterday I was out finishing up the mowing and when I came up to our cherry tree that we planted 5 years ago I had to take a picture.

We planted this tree along with a couple others in memory of my sister who lost her battle with cancer she was only 45!! Why do I tell you all this? I don't know except that this sister is the one who first introduced me to stamping. Granted I thought she was a bit crazy. lol and I am sure she would be laughing at me now.

The tree is FULL of beautiful cherry blossoms so beautiful.

Mother's day card - Monday

Time to get inspired to get some Mother's day cards done. This one came from inspiration here My MIL's favorite color is purple so I think this one should be hers. I changed the dsp, the stamp set and the greeting, and the embossing to make it my own. Really love the colors!!

Most everything is Stampin' Up! except for the brad and the bling. I used Perfect plum, so saffron and wild wasabi colors. My stamp image is from hostess set slice of life. I colored the vase and then added some crystal effects. I embossed the so saffron colored my whisper white satin ribbon with my perfect plum marker and stamped my greeting from a retired greeting set. My wild wasabi is also from a retired pack of 6x6 hostess set a few years ago.

Angry Birds - Thursday

Because I love you all so much today you get a double post. :) Isn't that nice of me? Actually, I probably should wait until a day when I don't have anything, but well, this is just too cute to wait on.

How many of you are Angry bird fans? Well in our house my hubby and my son can not get enough of the game and my dh isn't a fan of gaming systems. But shooting angry birds at little green pigs is just too much fun.

I wasn't going to put a greeting but good luck seemed pretty appropriate although not sure when I'll use it My dh birthday is already passed and I have made him his fathers day card. Out of the ordinary

I got a new punch -notice the puzzle pieces along the side?! Sweet -huh!! A new friend of mine sells creative memories she gave me one of her catalogs the last time we got together. They really do have some great layout ideas. I think usually I tend to be a little simpler in my layouts. So this is really out of my box but It is so cute IRL.. I have a lot of dsp not all but most SU! this happens to be a non su! however it works!! I matted my pictures on whisper white punched out the puzzles cut out a butterfly and embossed it. Punched a tag when I was all done I was putting things away and started working on the card I showed you yesterday and when I noticed the chipboard letters and thought how perfect they would be!! So there you have it another completed page!!

Embossed Elegance

I wish you could see how beautiful this card is IRL (in real life)

I tried a couple new techniques that I have never done before. First I took my Whisper white cs and embossed it with the Elegant lines embossing folder by SU! Then in some of the little dips and swirls I add bling. (non su!) For my ribbon I ran my marker along the edge of of the whisper white satin. I wanted to add a greeting but it is so pretty I couldn't bring myself to add anything else to it.

Easter scrappin'

I created this page probably a month ago so that when the time came all I would have to do was pop pictures in place.

I used some retired dsp from last years spring mini along with some punch art! I made a couple little bunnies and a basket full of eggs. I loved the page before now I think it is just adorable. Adding those pictures of the worlds cutest kids really makes the page!!

Sshh don't tell my hubby that I already have his Fathers day card finished! :)

Isn't the little hammer and saw just a the cutest things you have every seen!!? And, Yep you guessed it they are little punch arts. I know Father's day is still months away and most people are thinking about mothers day, But I guess my mind thinks a little differently. Actually Mothers day cards are harder for me. Not sure why Probably should explore that in therapy.

This was a super fun card to make my going gray is embossed with the big shot I pulled out a new color that for some reason I had been holding out on purchasing..... Peach Parfait (really pretty color by the way).

Late Post

I know it is much much later than normal. It's just been one of those days. You know the kind of days where the kids act like little tornadoes and utterly DESTROY everything?! The kind of day where it is dark and rainy and you want to do NOTHING?! Yep it is one of THOSE days.

Today is just a clean simple card. I saw a card a few days ago that I thought was so pretty it inspired this card although there really is very little similarities.

Here I embossed the rose using one of SU! embossing folders and then cut out a butterfly using the butterfly die for the big shot. added some layers some ribbon and some pretty little gems. I stamped the "love" and popped it on the gray ribbon. Clean - simple! My kind of style. :)

Easy Peasy Gift

Talk about E A S Y!!! WOW

Someone about a year ago gave me a pack of paper from a LCS because it was all school stuff and my kids are in school now. SOOOO, I decided to use this pretty paper to decorate SU! clear dvd cases. I am going to put a 5 x 7 notebook on the inside along with a pen and a book marker. I know I would love to get something like this so I am positive the teachers will love them too. :) And so cheap!!! Love that too.

Textured circles

Another fun simple card! I have seen several of these on line lately and it really is just a wonderful card. I LOVE the texture. Again, I used the Square Lattice.

I punched several circles 1 3/8, 1 1/4 and 1/2". Laid them on my card then ran it through the embossing folder. Then I stamped and punched out by greeting. You easily could use softer colors and turn this into an adorable baby card too. Pink, blue, brown how cute would that be!!

Sneak Peek Tuesday

In the summer mini catalog you will find this gorgeous new embossing folder.

This is one of those cards that is just clean and simple and straight to the point no jabbering needed. lol!

All I did here was to take a whisper white card stock embossed it with the new folder (Flower Garden - 123113) Then just dabbed some color with my markers along the stem and the center of the flowers. Stamped Happy Birthday and adhered it all together. Viola, Done!

Puff the magic dragon gets punchy

I have a really hard time being creative in a messy craft room!! And Boy was my room a mess!! So last Thursday I spent a majority of my afternoon cleaning an putting away. Feels so good!! After my room was clean I was able to do some stamping.

Ok, so on to the real reason you stopped by. This CUTE dragon. Isn't he just adorable. I have in sitting on my desk looking at me.....makes me smile. :)

I found him at Tami White's blog Here. Tami has created a video for you to watch.

First you will need either the circles die cut for the big shot or I cut a 2 1/5 " circle with my circle scissors. Then Wide, Large & Small ovals, Large star, and some more circles from the owl punch. After I punched everything out I then embossed it in with the Textured Impressions Square Lattice folder (119976). For the neck, I had a piece of paper oh, 3 x 5 (maybe) and I just had trimmed it making a curve and when I attached to the whisper white card stock I trimmed off the excess. Really a very fun Card that I think anyone would love to receive! Or, make one and leave on your stamp table to give you a smile! :)

MDS Journal

It Seems that this week as been all about My Digital Studio. Really wasn't planned but well, you know how things go? Right?!?

Ok, so I'll be honest, I saw the update that there was now a journal available but really didn't have a clue as to what that meant. SILLY ME! If I had only read up on things this would have made GREAT Christmas gifts!! Oh well maybe next year, right?

The journals come with 80 lined blank pages on the inside you are able to decorate the front and the back to your choosing there are 2 different pre-made designs for you. I used one here and added and changed some things up a little. Cute, huh?!? I love it!! The price is pretty affordable too $24.95. I didn't think that was too bad for a professionally bound journal. Playing some more with creating digital punch art. It really is fun to work with.

My background is Brocade blue with a strip of Ice Cream Parlor DSP a little bit of Pear Pizzazz ribbon and Very Vanilla with Pear Pizzazz C.S.

Bunnies are whisper white and Pretty in Pink

circles, owl, and oval punches. The eggs are wide ovals filled with designer series paper.

A few months ago some one asked me if you could make punch art using MDS. I told her that I was sure you could but when I had tried it didn't turn out. WELL, once again I am proven wrong and someone much more talented than I came up with a way. :) HERE will take you to the tutorial that I stumbled across and then had to make my own little elephant.

It is much easier to make punch art out of paper BUT this is a fun twist on things as well.

jointed build a bear

I had a lot of fun over the weekend stamping just for the sake of it.

Over the last year I have been a regular visitor to Kim Scores blog she does a lot of punch art and you all know by now how much I enjoy the punches!! Kim sells her tutorials at a good price and every now and then I will purchase some that I think would be really cute. The jointed bear was one that I had thought about purchasing for a long long time and finally did so a couple weeks ago.

Last night I finally took some time to create this cute bear (so easy!!) You wouldn't know it but it is the build a bear die with some extra's added on to create what you see.

I used Certainly celery cs (base), chocolate chip (bear), soft suede (ears, muzzle), and lcs dsp, pretty in pink (shirt, bow), whisper white (balloons)

Now I just need a little girl to send it to. :)

Birthday boy scrappin time

Catching up on some of my scrap booking!! My son turned 8 in December and although I did some of his birthday pages on my Digital Studio I also wanted to do some the "normal" way.

I was at a lcs last week and saw this paper and Knew right away exactly what I wanted it for!! I added some sticker balloons and a little tag that says happy birthday and around that I added some little buttons. This to break up the pictures a little I added some cog punches using some of the colors in the dsp.

The last couple of weeks I have spent my Tuesday's scrap booking with a new friend. It really really relaxes me!! Making it difficult for me to do much on Wednesday's because I am still SOOOO relaxed. lol! :)

My scrap book page has limited SU! products. I used DSP from a local CS along with some Christmas Rub - On's. My ribbon and by matting is su! real red cs. I used SU! photo corner punch for one of my pictures. Because of my pretty dsp it was a very easy page to complete.

Cat and Mouse Punch club

On April 18th I will be having my punch club. Usually I am horrible about getting it all ready. This time however I am ready to go!!

I saw a mouse like this as a Christmas card I changed the paper and now I think it could be any occasion you would need. And, since I have a mouse card You HAVE to have a cat!! Don't want the little mice to run wild now do we?!?! :)

Friendly Birthday wishes

This last weekend was my great nephews 2nd birthday. I can not believe he is 2!! Where has the time gone??

Knowing I had to come up with a cute card for a little boy I went surfing the net and came across something similar to this little card. *** I had forgotten I had this stamp set** Shame on me!

I used SU! Fox and friends stamp set to create some animals and then came the wagon! The wagon is just 4 strips of 1/2'' chocolate chip card stock and the handle is one scallop from the scallop boarder trim punch. And, of course, the wheels are buttons I decided not to use my SU! buttons (because I am selfish and hate to use such cute buttons lol)

I really like this card I hope Jacob does too. :)

Today I took some much needed time off and did nothing but scrapbook with a friend. I cleaned my house, did laundry .....ya know all the fun stuff yesterday so that today I wouldn't feel guilty for enjoying myself.

This is just one of the pages I completed today.

My base is Kiwi Kiss then a layer of Retired DSP some pretty ribbon and then another strip of Retired DSP. I layered my pictures on Baja Breeze and pulled out some pretties flowers for the middle of the page. The Large letter K is a magnet letter I found in the Target dollar section some time ago.

Funky Four Friday

So it's FRIDAY!! Very very simple card here I am not even sure if it is one of my favs but.....

My base is retired kiwi kiss, black, a strip of dsp and whisper white top note. I punched out a scallop oval and sponged in some clouds then stamped a row of mushrooms from Funky Four.

I added 3 little bits of ribbon on the side for a little added touch and there you have it!

Owl

One of the many great things about my husband is he can fix just about anything!! He took a part my computer screen, that kept going black on me, saw the problem and took into work with him were they fixed it!! I am so thrilled to have not needed to go buy another computer monitor.

And as a thank you to him I made him a batch of Dove chocolate Brownies last night!! :) I didn't eat any but they looked delicious.

So, Now that I am back up and running I sat down and created this little card just for you. Right now my favorite color combo is baja breeze, pretty in pink, and chocolate chip. And, I KNOW I have told you all this before but I just LOVE the owl punch from Stampin' Up! Even if I wasn't a demo I would have to have this punch he is just too darn cute.

My owl is sitting on the tree of "A season of friendship" (my favorite set) I stamped the leaves in Old Olive and added some from flowers stamped in Pretty in Pink. My ribbon is a Non-SU! ribbon found in my stash the DSP is a retired SU! paper from last summer.

Isn't this the cutest bracelet EVER?!? One of the ladies from the stamp group I belong to sent out a link with the instructions on how to make this. It really was very easy. I doubled up on my stretchy cord as it kept breaking on me as I was pulling the buttons tight.

Gel Card

Last week surfing around on line I came across a really cute card using Hair gel! Cute idea huh?!?

My little fishy is a combo of different su! punches. Ornament, 5 petal, hearts, 1/2 & 1/4" circle punches. I created my background with some neglected stamps! (sorry to say) Embrace life and Inspired by nature. Now the cool part, Fill a resealable bag with Hair gel you do not need a lot!!! I added a little bit of glitter as well.

You will need to cut a whole in the center of the front of your base card. Here I used a non su die. You can click here for a complete tutorial on how to do this so very very easy!!

Big News and Bunnies

Milk Carton- Big Shot

I have been going back and forth on this little item for a very very long time. In effort to convince myself that I did NOT need it I sat down and made all kinds of little boxes with out the big shot just using patterns I had found on line Probably at Splitcoaststampers.com!!

Last week after a year of fighting the urge I caved and purchased the mini milk carton die from SU! It arrived yesterday and I had to play.

I should have caved much much earlier!! :) Unlike most dies from SU! it uses just a 1/2 a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. It was a fraction of the amount of time I had spent trying to figure out the patterns and make my own!!!! Right now I have a ton of ideas floating through my head. :)

Here I used my current favorite punch (Create a cupcake) I love it when with in 10 minutes I can create a cute project and be done and feel like I have made something super duper!

My paper is baja breeze, chocolate chip some retired dsp and pretty in pink. The red cherry is from the glitter pack in the occasions mini catty.

The milk carton is little I remember the first time I saw it I was disappointed in the size however if you really think about it do you really need anything bigger??? I don't think so!

Little Mermaid

It may be a few days late, but as promised here is the little mermaid that the punch club girls made a few weeks ago. Isn't she adorable!!?!? She isn't my creation but I figure I can still share her with you.

To make her yourself you need. All SU! Punches were used
1 3/8" circle
Scallop circle
Large Oval
either triple flower punch or the boho blossom punch would also work.
A dollop of glue and glitter were used on each scallop of her hair. and in the middle of each flower.

Last Friday my ladies come over to do some punching and together we made this adorable little bee! Isn't he the cutest thing Ever???!! Love him!!

To make him you need the ornament punch the 1/2 circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, the 2 step bird, and the large Oval punch. White gel pen

The Ornament punch = head and butt
1/2 = nose, eyes,and antenna's
1 3/8" = body
2 step bird = eyes Oval = wings sprinkled with glitter.
The corners were punched with the Pinking hearts border punch.

Stamps = awash with flowers.

We also made a mermaid I'll get pictures of her on here tomorrow. Everyone loved her as well and commented how cute she would be on a girls' scrap book page.

Today is my dear hubby's birthday. He has been my rock for so many tough times. Without him I don't think I would have made it through some of the them. So, here is to my Great, Couldn't have asked of anyone better, Husband!~~! Happy Birthday dear.

My card is a combo of retired and new stuff. The paper is ballet blue with chocolate chip, A layer of retired paper pack (which I loved!!) some so saffron ribbon from last years SAB and on the whisper white I stamped the birthday greeting and the cupcake from Create a cupcake. This cute set also has a matching punch so for that I stamped the cupcake top and then punched it out used a dimensional underneath and then also punched out the candle and the cherry.

Didn't we JUST celebrate Christmas??? Wow Time sure does seem to fly by or is it just me?

Some how I have managed to misplace my camera......So for now, here is a birthday cake I made over the weekend for my BIL. Chocolate cake with a mouse filling and a cream cheese frosting.....Oh it was soooo YUMMY!!

Ok, so I am a dork!!! Found the camera! I was sitting here typing away and I look up and there sits my camera!!! WOW

Ok, so today I have been making little chocolate cups for my dessert tonight but, I HAD to make my hubby a quick card!! So here it is....think he will like it??!? :) I think he will.

To make the "heart" First punch a full heart and cut a V out of the middle then punch 2 - 3/4" circles and sponge with your red and some whisper white craft that will create your shading glue your 2 circles behind the red heart and punch 1 more heart out of your body color here I used blush blossom but that is now retired. Some more sponging and you got it

Birthday - Tuesday

The end of January brought my Nieces 16th birthday! Can not believe she is old enough to drive... just like my own I remember the day she was born. (Well sort of hehehe) When she and her brother were little they would spend lots of weekends at our house while their mom worked. She feels like another one of my kids. I just get the lucky part and don't have to discipline or pay for all the expenses. The joy of being the Aunt!

For her Birthday I told her mom I would make her a birthday cake and of course she has to have a card from me too she would expect nothing else!

Punch art Purses

Last week I held our monthly punch club.

This little guy is the first one we created. The base is Bashful blue Card stock. My layer is retired DSP from last summer. To make the purses I used 3 different punches. The tab (pink) the designer (green) and the 1 1/4 circle (blue) for the handles I used the oval punches. first you need to punch out the smaller oval then punch over it with the larger oval leaving you and oval with the center punched out ---handles!!

the cute little flower on the green purse is a retired 3 flower punch that I punched a soda can with.

Sorry I haven't posted yesterday. You might be wondering what happened to me. I have been locked away in my stamping room working on projects for my punch club that will start back up tomorrow!! I decided I was going to get ahead of the game this time around so I have been punching away making little animals and birdies! :) Let me just say the pig is so stickin' cute.

Ok, so since I can not show you my punch art just yet I will show you a great little project for Valentines day. Awash with flowers - Tuesday

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I am late posting I have had one of those days that were not necessarily bad just one that ended up with lots happening in it.

So, To days' card is a mixture of lots of different stamp sets.

I had this idea this morning while I was attempting to walk on my treadmill. You know that is really really hard to do when you have a little 4 yr old that does not care if you walk or not!! Any way, While I was walking I was thinking about this little princess holding a valentines day balloon.

Next, after all my running around today I went on line to help me find a layout.

I pulled out some pretty in pink some retired dsp and some whisper white cs. I used a stamp set I have not used much Awash with flowers and of course I turned the flowers into a girls dress. :) The little girl is from All in the family. I stamped little hearts from Create a cupcake and the Balloon ribbon is a set of hearts from on top my desk. :) The little balloon heart is a treat cup filled with m & m's.

Split Coast Stampers Sketch Challenge

And, Here is my card!!

Fun little Valentines day card. Everything used is Stampin' Up!

Layer 1 is my base card Pretty in pink
Layer 2 is Real Red with Love stamped all over it
Layer 3 is a strip of Retired DSP (sorry don't remember the name)
Layer 4 is a multiple layers section Chocolate chip punched with a boarder punch, Real Red and Whisper white. On my Whisper white I stamped Love with Taffy Alphabet (now retired) The heart is a new rub on from the Occasions mini catalog. IF you go looking for it it is actually a hot air balloon I cut off the basket. Not sure if you can see it but after it was all said and done to add a little something I spritzed smooch spray all over it. Makes it look very sparkly in person.

New in the Occassions mini is the set Eat Chocolate. It is such a cute set and I knew that it would be one I would really enjoy. I know lately that seems to be all I am showing you. Maybe, I'll see what other sets I own today. lol :)

Happy New Year all! I am ready for warmer weather so out with all the winter christmas cards!!

In the Occasions mini catalog you will find a build a cupcake and create a cupcake stamp set. When I saw the cupcake punch I knew I had to have it!! And of course if I am getting the punch I needed the matching stamp set ..............right?!!

Used lots of "manly" colors to create this cupcake and it looks so yummy I love it!

Paper: Not quite navy, real red, chocolate chip, retired DSP

MDS Hybrid cards

Last night I was looking around on the internet and came across a great idea, not sure WHY I never thought of it before. My digital studio has some great "paper" available Summer Splendor is one that I purchased some time ago. I printed the designs out on whisper white paper and then just layered it and added some ribbon. I did stamp my greetings but such a simple group of cards!

Cake

With all the Craziness from the Holiday's I have not had time to stamp, However, I have been baking. And of course if I keep that up I am going to have to go buy new clothes!! Just the other day For the first time EVER I made a Red Velvet Cake with raspberry cream filling and cream cheese frosting. AMAZING!! I hear it is a southern cake which I guess is why I have never had it.

Snowy Home

Quick easy gift giving idea. I just love framed stamping art! This little guy is so cute and so easy and looks so good in person. Thinking about making a couple more for gifts if I get my knitting done and have time.

First I pulled out the neighborhood wheel and stamped it on watercolor paper. I then used the watercolor pencils and my blender pen to color the houses. For "home" I did not have enough letters to use my chipboard so I simply traced around on some craft paper that may or may not be SU! I found it in a stash. I sponged the edges with Chocolate chip and adhered them to the card stock. I have some liquid applique that is not su! but is just so perfect for the snow that I had to use it. Super cute and so easy!! Put it in a frame and it is just gorgeous!!

Christmas Morning cup

One more Christmas card for you. This is going to be a quick post for you. I am recovering from the flu and nursing a sick little boy with it now. Its been a rough winter and it has just begun!!

I used Morning cup for the coffee cups and a unknown stamp set I had picked up a couple years ago and a LCS. Everything else is SU! Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla. Some Retired Dsp and some pretty ribbon.

Folded Christmas Tree

If you are still working on your Christmas cards I have one to show you. If you are done you might want to save this for next year. It is really easy and oh so cute!! This is another case of a card I saw on a Demo Only website. I changed it up a little using different paper and only having 1 gift instead of 3. Plus the "bling" on the tree I used non-SU Bella baubles. Click here for the template on how to create the folded tree. First you will need a circle the is 5 1/2" in diameter after that there are just a couple folds.

I think everything here used is retired with the exception of the Bashful Blue cs and the Real Red c.s.

Sock Monkey Birthday

Yesterday my littlest girl turned 4!!! I can not believe she is 4 already. For her birthday every time I asked what would you like she would say "a girl sock monkey!" What would you

like for Christmas "A girl Sock Monkey!" What kind of cake would you like? "A sock monkey cake!" Ok you get the picture right?!?! It had better be a sock monkey that she gets for her birthday!!

And here is her Cake!! Isn't he cute? I had so much fun making him. I seriously want to get into cake decorating I think that would be just the best "job" ever!! Well, a side from working with Stampin' Up! That is! lol!

I pulled out my Sock Monkey stamp set because, well, It had better be a sock monkey!! I colored my little monkey to look just like the sock.

I used Very vanilla card base stamped Happy Birthday and then Cut out a scallop circle with my big shot. I used the circle scissor plus to make the plain circle stamped and colored my monkey and used pop dots to adhere him. The number 4 and the buttons were found in my stash of supplies. "kyleah" was spelled out from my extra letters that I have been saving. They had been cut out using the big shot with Naturally Serif Decorative strip dies.

Greeting Card Kids

The case of the card case. Last week I saw a card similiar to this on Splitcoaststampers.com and really liked it. I do NOT own this stamp set, HOWEVER, this set is available for My digital studio so today I purchased ink for my printer and printed out several little girls. I sat down this afternoon and colored and adhered some layers together I found some pretty little 1/2 pearls in my stash and placed them for buttons.

The beautiful embossed layer was done with a big shot embossing folder. My designer paper is some left over retired paper that I LOVED!!! BOOHOO I can not buy more! :( I added some glitter to her scarf and she is now BEAUTIFUL!

I did it!

I did it!! I am so excited I can hardly believe it. Ok, for those that know me know that I am NOT a sewer. NOPE, I do NOT operate a sewing machine. However, last year I attempted with the help from my aunt to make doll clothes for my daughter for Christmas. That was fun but well, that was a year ago and I have not attempted it since. THEN, I saw a post from Angie Juda on making a quilted rag purse using the big shot. So cute!! and it looked so simple. Then I had this amazing idea to make them for Christmas gifts. Now what I am wanting to do is make it so that it fits my Miche bag but I have not gotten that far yet. But I will.

Angie Juda has a great video tutorial for making these purses so easy if I can do it so can you!

I guess I should explain a little I got so excited that I almost for got. To make this purse I used my big shot. Scallop Square Die, I cut apart some old jeans that I no longer wear and ran them through the big shot and cut all my squares. After that it was just sewing them together. Using the big shot is really what made it so simple all the square were the same size no measuring no fuss.

I am so excited to show you all this. It was a lot of work or should I say a lot of play time involved but so worth the effort. The little cups are on canvas bought at Walmart and the little cups were purchased on line from Oriental trading company but they can also be purchased from Walmart in the wedding section. On each cup I wrapped designer series paper and on the top of the lids I decorated with first a scallop circle and then some kind of stamping or punching or punch art or....Well any thing I thought was Christmasy.

I had a left over Calendar kit from Stampin' Up that I punched out the dates with the 1/4" circle punch. I hope this inspires you to do some stamping today. This was so much fun to make and I'll be able to use it for years to come .

Alien Owls

By now you have figured out I love punch art. That really was the one thing that pulled me into Stampin' UP!

The other day I finally received my 2 step Owl from Stampin' Up! I LOVE that punch!! I usually tell people if they are just starting to purchase punches to start with your basic shapes and go from there however, The OWL is a must!!! I mean really just look at these little aliens who wouldn't want to make these guys?!

Actually I haven't decided yet who will receive this but I love it and my son and husband thought it was great too. I stamped the feet from all in the family and then punched the owl turned them upside down and added the eyes. So cute!!

I totally cased this card. I was looking around on a website for Demo's and came across this card.

I received Awash with flowers for Free from SU! but have not used it much. I have seen some really cute cards with it I'll have to play some more and see what comes out.

Double Post Wednesday

Happy Hump Day! You know I am rather enjoying being able to have the time to stamp again. I have all these ideas in my head and now I can actually sit down and work on them instead of pushing them off to the side and never getting to them. So in that regards I should be grateful to the crazy man that gave me migraines and caused me to quit my job......Thank you crazy man! :)

Ok on to the real business at hand. Yesterday while looking around on the web I came across a really pretty card made with SU! 2 step bird punch making a poinsettia. I knew I had to sit down and make one too. What do you think?

All you do is lay your birds in a circle and add the 5 Petal punch on top I also added some little circles from the 2 step owl and some glitter just because. To help with laying the birds out I also punched a 1 3/8" circle punch and adhered my birds to it. You probably wouldn't need the circle. But it helped me to get them positioned the way I wanted.

Then when I was done I had several little wings and leaves from the birds that I thought would be pretty as Tulips!! The vase is the ornament punch with the bottom cut off . Both cards have a base of Naturals White. The green I believe is Wild Wasabi and the red is either Ruby red or Riding hood red. My Blue background is from a retired pack of 6x6 hostess paper pack.

Case of the Singing Mouse

One thing I have learned is never be too afraid to case someone Else's genius. Jackie Topia is one of those incredibly talented ladies that always amazes you when you come across her work!

I saw this cute singing mouse and knew I wanted to give it a try. I hate mice however if I had a singing mouse instead of a stinky germ infested mouse I might feel differently. lol

He was lots of fun to make and turned out super cute too!

Ribbon Watch

I have one of those purses that all you have to do is change the outside to match your outfit instead of changing the whole purse. Love the idea! Only wish I was smart enough to have thought of that first. Then about 2 - 3 months ago I saw a watch that you change the bands to match.

So keeping that in the back of my mind I went into Joann's and found a watch face..........You know the rest right?! Bought it up and came home and pulled out some of my Fantastic SU! ribbon! Easy Peasy Does it!!

I have tried a couple things to get it to fasten. I bought some of those belt loops. However, it doesn't stay tight enough to wear all day. Yesterday, I just tied it it was cute and stayed good and tight all day. My Non Su! ribbon. Still Cute!

Whimsy Duck

Wow!! It's amazing when I am not working how much stamping I can get done isn't it?! I had tried to go back to work full time this past spring and it worked great for a while, but like all things it had to come to an end especially when the people you work for are CRAZY!!! I could only take crazy for so long and had to tell all the crazy people bye-bye.

So since I am home again with my little one I have been doing some stamping and some blogging again.

I am in a punch art craze right now so I am working my way through Kim Score's zoo animals. She does an amazing job coming up with punch art designs.
Here is my version of her hippo. I have started round 2 of my punch club where we meet 1 saturday a month and create 2 cards making punch animals/people..... If you are interested in joining the fun let me know would love to have you.

Last week we had our monthly punch art class here are the cards we made.

Chicken: You will need the scallop circle punch, large oval, and the boho blossom punch

Turtle: Pull out your circles!! Yep all you need here is the 1 3/8, 1 1/4, 1 '' and if you have it the 1/4 inch circle (now retired) Oh well the legs are the word window punch so I guess you need a little more than just circles. :) The water Lillie's if you choose to add them is the boho blossom.

Pirate Birthday

I know it has been a very very long time since I have posted anything. I have plans to stamp and post and then I well,.................don't!

Long ago, and by that I mean a few months back. My daughter asked if she could have this pirate themed birthday party that she saw in a catalog that came in the mail. I said she could thinking it couldn't be too much. WOW! was I wrong!!! $200 for some paper plates and napkins. I am sure there was something else too but REALLY?!?!

So after she dried her tiers from me NOT buying it I made it for her and here is what I came up with
For the cupcakes: Napkin ring extra large die for the big shot

Here is her card. I used my circle scissors plus to cut a 4" circle and my scallop edge punch to create the teeth. The hearts are also all punched out with full heart punch.
I even stamped bones on her pink napkins.

Remembering

This week has been a heart wrenching week for me and my family. Our beloved pet of 13 years passed away suddenly. I decided today that part of the healing for me would be to make a scrap page of him

For this page I used MDS and selected make my own 12 x 12. I then went with some pre designed layouts and selected my background found my pictures and started adding some embellishments. I tried to keep it simple without too much bling he wasn't a bling bling kind of dog! lol

Long ago with my 1st daughter was only 2 or 3 my ds had went shopping with me one day. while at the store he saw some flowers near the check out and wanted to buy some roses for his sister. How could I tell him no?!? She was in heaven when we got home and she had flowers! Come to think of it I don't think that has happened again. lol I took lots of pictures of the moment of her getting her flowers that she loved so much.

I made this layout using the Digital studio. It is a pre designed layout all I had to do with put in my picture!! I love the colors and the layout!!! If you have not yet found out about the Digital Studio you really should check it out it is an amazing program!!

Getting Punchy with it

I know I showed you a clock using this cute dog but I just love him he is so fun to make and soooo stickin' cute too

To make This card I used:
Bashful blue cs designer series paper (grass) run through the crimper, Butterflies embosslet and lots of punches are you ready for them? Ok, hold on to your pants here you go

Face: Full heart Punch, 1 3/8" punch
Nose:heart to heart punch
Ears: Large oval punch
Tummy: Wide Oval Punch, large oval punch
Legs: Large Oval punch
Feet: 3/4 " circle cut in 1/2
Eyes and eye lids: 1/2 "cicle The black part of his eye is colored in with black marker and white gel pen
Collar: 3/4" and 1/2" circle first punch out a 1/2" circle then over that hole punch out 3/4" circle. Does that make sense? I hope so.

Stamp set used her is D is for Dog out of the big catty!
